Red Fort (accessible only by car): The term Red Fort comes from the Hindi words Lal, meaning red, and Quila, meaning fort. The Red Fort's structure is highly irregular, and it is built in an octagonal shape along the Yamuna River. It is surrounded by a wall approximately 2.4 km in circumference and made of red sandstone. Shah Jahan began construction of this massive fort in 1638 and completed it in 1648. The fort features a Diwan-e-Am (audience hall), a Rang Mahal (a water-cooled apartment for royal ladies), and a Pearl Mosque built of white marble. The Red Fort has two gates: a) the Delhi Gate and b) the Lahori Gate, both overlooking the famous Chandni Chowk.

Jama Masjid is one of the largest mosques in the country, where hundreds and thousands of Muslims still offer their prayers. Built in 1658 by Shah Jahan as an architectural spectacle, the marvels of Jama Masjid's construction are evident in its long staircases and large courtyard.

Chandni Chowk (Silver Street): Chandni Chowk is known for its flamboyant streets lined with Old Delhi's famous shopping districts. It also boasts the country's most famous and extensive market for textiles, electronics, and watches. The entire Chandni Chowk area was designed by Jahanara Begum, Shah Jahan's beloved daughter, and was subsequently populated by the affluent families of the time. The famous Parantha Wale Gali, known for its delicious paranthas, is also located in Chandni Chowk. The famous gold market, Dariba Kalan, is also located here.

Raj Ghat: A basic square platform of black marble on the banks of the Yamuna River symbolizes the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated after his assassination in 1948. A dedication ritual takes place every Friday in his memory.

India Gate (accessible only by car): India Gate is a freestanding, 42-meter-high arch. Built in 1931, it was formerly known as the All-India War Memorial, commemorating the 90,000 Indian Army soldiers who died in World War I. The names of the warriors are inscribed all along the arch's walls. The eternal flame was lit here in 1971 in honor of the Amar Jawan (Immortal Soldier).

Rashtrapati Bhavan (President's House) (accessible only by car): Rashtrapati Bhavan is the official residence of the President of the country. Designed by Lutyens, it served as the official residence of the Viceroy during the British rule in India.

Humayun's Tomb: Nine years after Humayun's death, Haji Begum (Humayun's widow) built this tomb in 1565-66 in his memory.

 

Qutub Minar: This remarkable building in the southern part of the capital was built by the Muslim king Qutab-ud-din Aibak in 1199 AD. The minar (tower) is 72.5 meters high and its base is a mosque.

Delhi – Jaipur (5 hours)

In the morning after breakfast, you will be met by our representative and assisted with check-out formalities. Then, the journey to Jaipur begins. Upon arrival, you will be assisted by one of our representatives, and after a short rest, you will be taken to Choki Dhani Village. This beautiful Rajasthani village offers a glimpse into Rajasthani village life and a delicious Rajasthani thali served in Rajasthani style. After your visit, our driver will take you back to your hotel in Jaipur.

The city that rolls out a pink carpet for all its visitors. It is the capital of Rajasthan and is known as the "Pink City" because of the pink-tinted buildings in the old town. It is situated on a dry lakebed, surrounded by barren hills conquered by forts and broken walls. After a relaxing night's sleep and a hearty breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you on a guided tour of Jaipur. During your city tour, you'll visit Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal (photoshoot), City Palace, and Jantar Mantar. After the city tour, you have the rest of the day at leisure. You can ask the driver if you'd like to see other places in Jaipur.

Amber Fort: The Amber Fort is located 11 km from Jaipur. Amber was once the ancient capital of Jaipur. The fort is an excellent illustration of Rajput architecture, impressively located on a hill overlooking a lake, which reflects the walkways and walls.

Hawa Mahal (Photo stop only) at Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds): The Hawa Mahal, built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799, is one of Jaipur's main attractions. The front of the Mahal has pink windows and lattice screens. This mahal was originally built for the ladies of the imperial household to view the ordinary life and parades of the city.

City Palace: The City Palace is still the residence of the former royal family H.H. Bhawani Singh Ji of Jaipur. This Palace still possesses an extensive collection of art, carpets, and ancient weapons.

Jantar Mantar (Observatory): It was built by Maharaja Jai ​​Singh in 1728. Jantar Mantar appears to be a curious collection of sculptures, but in fact, each construction has a detailed purpose, such as measuring the positions of stars, altitudes and azimuths, and calculating eclipses. The most striking instrument is the sundial, a 27-meter high gnomon. The shadow created by this moves up to 4 meters per hour.

Agra City Tour

Early in the morning, your guide will pick you up for a magnificent sunrise tour of the Taj Mahal. You will then visit Agra Fort and be transferred back to your hotel accommodation.

Background Information

Taj Mahal: Emperor Shah Jahan built the Taj Mahal in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal who died during childbirth in 1631. The construction of this famous monument is said to have taken 22 years, beginning in 1631. More than 20,000 artisans worked day and night on the construction of this monument. Artisans and experts were brought in from France and Italy. And the chief architect came from Iran.

Today you travel to Mathura, the birthplace of Shri Krishna. You visit the Krishna Janmasthan Mathura and the Prem Mandir in Vrindavan. You stay overnight

Shree Krishna Janmasthan, Mathura: Shree Krishna Janmasthan is popular under the name Janam Bhumi among the places. It is said that this is the exact place where Lord Krishna was born. You should visit this place during the festival of Janmashtami or you can also visit during Holi. If time permits, they can also visit Prem Mandir.

Vrindavan - New Delhi (~4 hours)

In the morning after breakfast, you travel back to New Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be taken to your hotel accommodation and you have the rest of the day free.

Delhi – Haridwar

Early in the morning after breakfast, you depart for Haridwar. Upon arrival, you will be guided to the hotel reception for check-in. In the early evening, you attend the Hari ki Pauri Ganga Aarti.

Background Information: Haridwar

According to the Vedic scriptures, a drop of nectar (Amrit) fell here, signifying the beginning of the world. It is a magical sight as in all Haridwar temples thousands of lamps are lit simultaneously for evening Aarti.

Haridwar & Rishikesh City Tour

Then you get a guided sightseeing tour of Haridwar and visit the Pawan Dham Temple, the Bharat Mata Temple, and Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi by cable car. Then you travel on to Rishikesh, the city of yoga. In Rishikesh, you visit Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula Swarg Ashram, Triveni Ghat, and Geeta Bhawan, among others. In the afternoon, you will be taken back to your hotel accommodation.

Haridwar - New Delhi (~5 hours)
